The A.R.I.S.E program is looking for donations on a continual basis. Although the men are not at SMLC (Amigos of April) and have moved on to other locations, they require ongoing care and have immediate needs. If you are able to help, here is a Wish List of items that can be taken to the shelter any night or can be left with the City of Renton at Karen Bergsvik’s office. Shelter coordinators have put together a wish list of items that the men can use throughout the year, not just at the holidays. This list will be on the ARISE web site which can be accessed at www.ccsww.org . Items can be taken to the shelter any night and given to the site manager or during the day can be left with the City of Renton at Karen’s Bergsvik’s office. The list is as follows: Socks, Foot powder, Backpacks, Flashlights, Notebooks/Organizers/Planners, Sweatshirts, Shoes – size 11 and up, Hygiene kits, Clean Pillows, Shaving kits, Earplugs, Radios, Batteries, Sleeping bags, Nail clippers, Tool kits, Gloves, Hats, and Scarves.
