Special Thanks to our Treasurers

Jim Kraus has been serving as Treasurer at SMLC for the last year, and has done a fantastic job following in Barb Newton’s footsteps. He’s helped us improve the systems we have in place, and has advised the Council on finances. He’s found, though, that the timing of the work conflicts with the needs of his “real” (meaning paid) job, and so is in the process of training our new Treasurer, Leighton Lien.

You may remember Leighton from the past several annual meetings, where he has displayed his ability with numbers in the presentation of the budget. He has also served on the church’s Audit Committee, and is on the Council (and in choir, and plays handbells . . .)

Thanks to both Jim and Leighton for your work; long hours at no pay, but you have made a huge difference here at St. Matthew’s!
