3 Years-5th Grade

8:00 am Sunday Worship -Children are always welcome in worship at St. Matthew! They will be invited forward for a special children’s message during the service, and activity bags are available near the sanctuary entrance.

9:30 am Sunday Worship and Sunday School -Our Hands On Bible Sunday School program is open to all children age three through fifth grade.  Each Sunday morning, children will begin with their family in worship and after a special children’s song and puppet message they will split into four different age level groups; preschool, kindergarten & 1st grade, 2nd & 3rd grade, and 4th & 5th grade.  Children have tons of fun with games, crafts, snacks, stories, and activities that they can see hear, touch, smell, and taste.  With a single Bible point to focus on and a single story reinforced over multiple weeks, your child will really remember what they learn about old testament characters like Noah, Abraham, and Daniel in the Fall and then explore Jesus’ birth, miracles, and parables through Winter and Spring.

11:00 am Sunday Worship and Sunday School- Children begin in worship, participating in opening songs and then come forward for a special children’s message before they head out to Godly Play, a Montessori program that encourages children’s exploration of faith through storytelling, free play, prayer, and a feast in a single multi-age group setting.

Music- Children’s choir for kids ages 3 through 5th grade meets every Sunday from 10:30-10:50 in the classroom across from the nursery.
