A Memorial Service

Saturday, March 6 2:00pm

One of the most pain filled experiences in life is to conceive a child and look forward with great anticipation to this new life only to have the experience end in death. This is a loss known by so many people in our community. We unknowingly add to the parent’s grief when we do not know how to acknowledge their loss.

St. Matthew’s will be hosting a Memorial Service to remember our children who were not able to experience life in its fullness. This Memorial is open to all as we will gather to remember the children and to bring a word of hope and comfort to the families.

Parents who would like are invited to bring memorabilia of their child(ren) which we will carefully display at the entrance of the worship space. A reception will be held following the service for all of those who attend.

EVERY Tuesday 10am-Noon Kennydale Lion’s Park 2428 Aberdeen Ave. NE

We are a simple, small group that gathers so the kids can play and the moms can connect. ALL Moms and their children are welcome. Snacks are provided when we meet in the nursery.

Children’s Christmas Program

Sunday, December 20, 11:00am Worship

Rehearsals: Advent Wednesdays 6:30pm-7:30pm December 2, December 9, and December 16

Dress Rehearsal: Saturday, December 19, 10am

Beginning Wednesday, December 2, everyone is invited to gather each Wednesday until Christmas in celebration of Advent. Dinner will be served in the Fellowship Hall beginning at 6:00pm, including fun, family coloring activities. Children preschool through fifth grade will move into age level groups at 6:30pm to learn songs, practice lines, and make props, as well as participate in fun and educational Advent activities. Adult Advent Worship takes place from 7:00-7:30pm. Nursery care is available.
