Vision
VISION STATEMENT - UNDER CONSTRUCTION Have you heard about that church in the Renton Highlands? SMLC is a main avenue running between the community and the church. The 2000 strong who show up for worship reflect the mark up of the surrounding community. They come to SMLC to worship God and to grow in faith only to be sent back out in service to others. People immediately feel at home when they walk through the doors of SMLC. They know it is a church where you don’t have to be good enough to go. The music is the music of the people. ...
What Is Life Stage Children?
Life Stage Children partners with families to pass on the faith and make church a safe and welcoming place to learn about God's great love for children from birth through fifth grade with Sunday School, special events, worship, service projects, Vacation Bible School, Moms' Group, mid-week programs, and much, much more!
About Our Youth Ministry
Youth ministry at St. Matthew's looks a little different than traditional youth ministries. Sure, we have some of the usual stuff: on Sunday mornings we meet for Sunday school during the 9:30am service. On Sunday nights we have SMACK, our middle school and high school youth group. We also have occasional lock-ins, monthly service projects, mission trips, and other great events. But, more importantly, one of our goals is to see youth involved in the whole life of the church. If your student isn't into going to youth group, or doesn't really like Sunday school - that's OK. Hopefully he or she ...

The Parish Nurse Ministry offers classes and events that address the health needs of adults and families. Many service projects are offered, both within and outside ...
Core Values
The reality for every person's life is that we encounter challenges, failures, and times of significant pain and hurt. God's unflinching love for us is know as GRACE, GRACE, GRACE. A congregation that take the pain of the community seriously has to be willing to become involved in acts of ...
